~ Velyka Kopanya Cemetery ~

Jewish families that lived in Velyka Kopanya, and possibly other nearby villages, used the two Velyka Kopanya cemeteries as the final resting place for their loved ones.
Cemetery one (pictured below) is located along the highway and has no tombstones remaining. Cemetery two (pictured below) is located behind a house on a nearby street and is appears to be encroached upon by a garden, but it seems maintained.
In the documents section of the "Other" tab, you will find a link to a U.S. Commission Report completed in 2005 that attempted to document Jewish Cemeteries (and Synagogues and Mass Grave Sites) in Ukraine. This cemetery is listed in the Zakarpats'ka oblast.
